My Presidential Wish List

I have a wish list for the person who will beat Obama in the 2012 election.  Most important: they need to be politically conservative, and a Constitutionalist.  They also need to have these qualities:

  • likeable and charming   (even without the help of the media)
  • charismatic   (without attracting hordes of swooning acolytes at political rallies)
  • intelligent and informed   (because Obama sometimes is not)
  • dynamic   (in other words, can he/she debate Obama and not be upstaged before a word is said?)
  • quick on their feet   (without aid of a teleprompter)
  • a record of accomplishment in the "real world"   (not just in politics, or community organizing, or perhaps coordinating bake sales for the local socialists)
  • courage   (it's going to get nasty out there)
  • a decent character  (perfection isn't possible, but I'd settle for someone who doesn't turn my stomach)
Next post:  How the current field measures up (or doesn't), in my never-to-be-humble opinion.

And I'd like to know: What's on your presidential wish list?
